Indian Ocean Surf Spots on Fire: Video & Photo Report

Have you seen our most recent Maldives drone video from Cokes yet?  All I can say is “Wow”!

As we are well and truly in the midst of peak surf season at the Indian Ocean surf spots, we have been bombarded by world class photos and videos from TPW surf guides, operators and video- and photographers on location.

So many staff and operators keep sending us crazy photos and videos, tempting me to drop everything and go on a trip myself.

Cokes Surf Camp surf guide Lozza James has been grinning from ear to ear, surfing perfect rights and lefts on a daily basis, frothing in the midst of one of the best Maldives surf seasons in the recent memory.

Aura Surf Resort report July was an incredible month of consistent quality in the North Sumatra region. As a bonus, they found a new wave – a world class slab. The Peak has been firing and other trusty waves pumping.

It’s been mechanical in the Mentawai Islands for the last month, with solid back to back swells marching into the chain…

Finally, I kept the best clip to last. The Perfect Wave staff photographer Andy Potts just returned from a Mentawai charter aboard the Oasis surf charter and a mental week down south on Indies Trader III.

Closer to home, the Aganoa Lodge Samoa guests travelled to the south coast to surf a few consistent breaks on offer around Savai’i. Aganoa Right, Aganoa Left, Coconut Grove and Middles – plenty of fun, and a diverse variety, ranging from smooth, playful lefts to barrelling rights and everything in between.

I could go on and on… we have so much more to share.

Fact is, the waves have been absolutely pumping in the Indian and Pacific Ocean. There’s still a solid 3 months to go in the season in both the Maldives and the Mentawai, and right now we have some pretty enticing late season deals we can offer too.
